Piranha Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd was established by Peter and Heather Peirano in 1978 and they are proud to have been a locally owned and operated, family company ever since. Over the years, Peter and Heather have driven their business to excel by dedication to the quality of the service they provide in fulfilling the Insurance and Investments needs of clients. They currently lead a team of qualified professionals who have complete knowledge of all aspects of the Insurance Industry, including General Insurance, Commercial Products, Risk Protection Insurance, Superannuation and Motor Sport Coverage. Through experience and success in the industry Peter has been awarded lifetime membership of The International Life Writers Association - The Million Dollar Round Table.
Piranha Insurance Brokers has also been selected for membership to highly regarded industry groups and associations including the Steadfast Group, National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) and The Council of Queensland Insurance Brokers (CQIB). Membership of these organisations further enhances the level of service that Piranha Insurance Brokers can provide to its clients by allowing them to offer additional benefits and increased policy limits through leading insurance companies. Michael Lambert-Barker – Senior Account Executive & Training Officer
Michael has been in the general insurance industry since 1961 and joined Piranha Insurance Brokers in May 2002. Michael is an Affiliate of the Australian & New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance. He holds a Diploma of Financial Brokering (Insurance Brokering) and is a Qualified Practicing Insurance Broker and member of the National Insurance Brokers Association of Australia (NIBA). Michael is active in all classes of commercial general business.
Ross Hudson – Accountant, Compliance Officer & Insurance Administrator
After 9 years with AAMI, Ross joined Piranha Insurance Brokers in August 1997. Ross handles the processing of payments, banking and internal accounting tasks. He also looks after Insurance Premium Funding, Underwriter payments, Privacy and Compliance issues. Ross can undertake general insurance quoting and assist with claims. In moments of madness, Ross continues external studies at CQU - Bachelor of Business - Accounting and is a broken down, former rugby union player.
Nathan Peirano – Insurance Administrator
Nathan joined Team Piranha in September 2003 after 7 years in hospitality management. Nathan’s role includes quoting and product placement for house & contents, motor vehicles, boats, trucks, motorcycles, commercial & liability insurance. Nathan is also manager of the ‘Real Deal’ Motor Sports Insurance plan. It’s the perfect insurance product for a man whose life outside of work is driving and working on the Lexus Piranha Supercharged Outlaws Hot Rod.
Penny Jennison - Insurance Administrator
Penny grew up in Southern and Western Queensland and has worked in various roles within the industry including 3 years with CGU Insurance in Brisbane. Penny joined Team Piranha in November 2002 bringing industry expertise that includes experience of complex accounts and office management to her current role as accredited General Insurance Adviser, an accreditation obtained in 1997. A popular member of our staff, Penny is married to Craig and they have two beautiful children, Kyle and Tia. Off-duty, Penny indulges her love of camping, four-wheel driving and fishing.
Andrew Thackeray – Life Insurance Adviser
Andrew has been active in the Insurance & Finance Industry since 1996 and joined Team Piranha in May 2004. Andrew’s role is the important part of our organisation that involves all aspects concerning the recommendation and establishment of comprehensive Risk Protection Plans. These plans include a balance of Life, Trauma, Total and Permanent Disability and Income Protection insurance as well as specific consideration for Superannuation requirements. Andrew is married to Julie-Ann and boasts two beautiful daughters, Jacinta and Lara. Much of Andrew’s spare time is spent as a keen angler and road cyclist.
Robert Sharples - Insurance Administrator
Robert joined us in 1989 in a casual position whilst at college. This part-time job has since blossomed into 15 year career in the profession. Robert has experienced just about all facets of office organisation and domestic insurance but now primarily deals with rural and commercial - renewals and new business .
Robert is a keen archer (recently ranked 2nd in the Adult Men's Longbow at the International Field Archery Association Indoor Mail Match) and student of European Medieval & Renaissance swordsmanship. He enjoys historical re-enactment, regularly organising educational displays at local schools and public events.
Adrien Lang - Systems Analyst
Adrien's main focus is Information Technology and he is an independent contractor based in our office where he maintains and continually advances our computer infrastructure.
A registered MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) Master Instructor, Adrien is certified by Microsoft to provide training on many of their products. He has experience as an Internet Service Provider and has travelled regional and rural Queensland teaching computing skills. Born and raised in the bush, Adrien recently completed a Bachelor of Business degree majoring in Information Systems.
Adrien is principal of ASK ME, a business which provides new hardware and software as well as maintaining existing systems. |
